Single Sessions

Include drum, dance and song, though we can easily adapt to suit your wish. All of our facilitators are experienced and unique performers. We kick off with a short performance, getting everyone excited about the music, followed by drumming, teaching African rhythms, and musical games. The session ends with question time, where students can ask the facilitator about their background and culture.

Programmes

Maximise learning outcomes with a 4-week to full term Programme, suitable for all ages. We develop the ensemble, practise technique and dexterity, add songs, and build towards a high-energy student concert, offering students the chance to learn an instrument, be part of a group in a meaningful way, and nurture their confidence. Showcasing their piece at a school concert provides an important sense of accomplishment.

"Words cannot speak high enough of how Kofi connected with our students and kept them eager for more. We are so inspired by those sessions and will be doing this again some time soon. Some of those kids are very difficult to keep engaged in any class or activity but they remained connected the whole time with Kofi."

Sacred Heart Primary

"The children had a great session with Abli this morning. They enjoyed the movement and dance along with the drumming. At group time this afternoon they were asking questions about Africa and we were able to follow up with pictures from my daughter living in Africa. They were making interesting comments about the housing, schools and toys the children had and didn't have. It is a cultural session that evokes lots of thought for the children. We will definitely be booking again for 2019."

Mulwala Preschool

"It was just great! Bouba was so good with the kids and challenged them not to give in...which is what I'm working on with them. The energy of the whole class shifted so dramatically from the beginning to the end...it was amazing! He structured it beautifully: drumming/dance and then an informative insight into West Africa and the way of life, traditions...etc."

Hoa Nghiem Primary School

"Just wanted to let you know that our students throughly enjoyed our drumming experience. Jess and Mohamed were wonderful with the students - engaging, friendly and encouraging. It was amazing to watch the faces of the students as they participated and were totally immersed in the experience. Some of our special needs. who sometimes struggle with new experiences, absolutely loved joining in and felt successful in playing the drums with their peers."
