Tamelin (also called tamale, asiko, and as sikko in Guinea & Sierra Leone) are traditional rectangular frame drums of the Ashanti and Ga peoples of Ghana.
Held by the cross piece in the back, it is played with the dominant hand achieving open and closed sounds. Tension can be adjusted using the tuning blocks inside the frame.
