What is the C Diatonic scale?

The C Diatonic (major) scale is found on the white notes of a piano, beginning at C. As such, this tuning is an excellent starting point for teachers and educators or new students of music.

This is an easy scale on which to explore musical concepts, and it is easily accompanied by other instruments in many keys.
