Our Kalangu are made by the Hausa peoples of Nigeria.
Producing warm sounds, this unusual percussion instrument is played while tucked under one arm. A combination of finger tapping and strikes with the curved stick create tones which are regulated by the amount of tension put on the ropes when squeezed between the arm and the body.
The Master series version of this drum basically has twice as many verticals (rope) as the standard model which allows better pitch control
Comes complete with shoulder strap and traditional wooden striker.
Approximate Dimensions (L x W x H): 45cm x 20cm x 20cm
As these Kalangu are hand made, dimensions may vary slightly.
