Inspired by the traditional Zimbabwean mbira, the kalimba is a modern take on a centuries-old African instrument. Variations like the njari and zanzu have been played across the continent for thousands of years.
Each metal tine is fully tunable—just slide it up or down to change the pitch. When you pluck a tine, nearby tines resonate too, creating beautiful, layered tones with natural harmonic depth.
