Why African Drumming is Effective

African music is ensemble music: it's all about working together and respecting each drummers' place and contribution to the rhythm as a whole. This underlying principle makes listening and responding to one another a part of the process - often participants don't realise how well they're utilising this skill base until the facilitator points it out at the end of the workshop
