VoyeuRhythmic employs the best African music and dance exponents Australia has to offer. We organise regular gigs in all capital cities and The East Coast.
Ensembles include:
"Ouaga" - Contemporary African Tribal Soul
fuses beautiful rhythms with flute , sax and didg.
A versitile and experienced ensemble that specialise in Festivals, weddings
and high energy functions.
"Zazu" - Renowned Drum and Dance Ensemble who
play the party music of West Africa. Their high energy gigs are legendary,
and their softer African melodic sets are a hit at weddings, conferences and
functions. Comprising local percussionists Simons' Fraser and Lewis plus recently
arrived Africans including dancer Bobo Diallo, and master drummer Mady Keita
from Mali, Zazu is a unique melange of sound.
Zazu recently completed a 3PBS live recording, now heard on the new PBS Music
Tree Sampler.
"Couscous" - The festival, fete and street parade specialists. Couscous are an advanced student ensemble led by seasoned professional teachers and have performed at over 50 Melbourne events including Moomba. They are as many as 20 drummers and dancers and look awesome in traditional costumes.
