If you haven’t been to Bakehouse Studios then you’re in for a treat – it’s one of Melbourne’s iconic music hubs. The rehearsal rooms all have their own character and the upstairs Scrap Museum is a world class intimate concert venue with the perfect mood for our final night of The Big Drum.

Parking – There are numerous surrounding streets which have 1-hour and 2-hour parking in the area. For those coming for an entire day we recommend paid parking at the car park located above Aldi on the corner of Victoria st and Nicholson st.
Registrations – Please come to register at our upstairs reception at Scrap room, even if you’ve purchased your ticket already.
Gear hire/ BYO – Instruments will be provided to all sessions except for the djembe sessions. Please bring your own djembe or arrange to hire one from us.
Recordings – Please ask your teacher if you can record the sessions
Onsite photography on the day – we will photograph and video the event, if you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know in advance.
Accessibility – the venue is accessible for all abilities, please feel free to contact us if you need any additional information.
Can I come at the last minute? yes you can, however please note that some of the sessions will be booked out.
Can I bring a friend for final concert? we welcome guests at the final concert. Tickets for the concert can be purchased here.
Does my ticket get me into the final concert? Only if you have an ensemble class ticket, 5 class pass, or a Weekend pass. Otherwise you will be required to purchase a concert ticket.
Do I need to be experienced – all classes are geared for general levels expect for the Djembe Master classes on Saturday.
Cancellation Policy – If you can’t make it to the class, you can transfer the ticket to someone else, however we do not offer refunds.

Bakehouse Rehearsal Studios is conveniently nestled on Hoddle Street (Melbourne’s major cross-city arterial), just a few minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, and close to the Eastern and Monash freeways.
Close proximity to all public transport, with bus stops right outside on Hoddle St (Bus 246, Elsternwick to Clifton Hill route); North Richmond train station just 100 metres away; and a short walk to the 109 tram which travels down Victoria Parade to the City and South-Eastern suburbs.
Food and refreshments: The Nourishment Garden
The Nourishment Garden’s seasonal recipes are full of flavour and will blend perfectly with hungry & happy peeps at The Big Drum. Inspired by ancient Ayurvedic principals, you’ll love their wholesome meals and high quality Chai (dairy or soy).
Chai and Snacks 9.30am – 6pm
Menu includes: vegetarian curry, dhal, and hearty seasonal vegetable soup along with seasonal chai.
